Relax, eat, drink and be merry this is
what visitors have in mind while deciding tourism of this Indian
land of "Go Goa - 365 days on Holiday" but the real picture is much
more different from this imagination for the real picture read my

This southern most Indian state, where Arabian sea laps to provide
an area little over of 3700 sq km for the human population and which
is famous as "Tourist Paradise" on world tourism map, is probably
the only piece of land where culture and heritage of east and west
are not only marching side by side but also sharing the same social
platform and almost similar life style.
This is most common misunderstanding that Goa is a Christianity
dominated state though this is a fact that Hindu and Christians are
contributing about 95% of population of the state but here Hindus
are the majority community with about 65% of share in population and
Christianity with about 30% of total population is minority
community, rest of 5% of population is shared by the citizens
following Islam and other religious faiths. The common feelings of
Goans which runs among them as life line is "Sarva Dharama Sam Bhava"
[equality and unleveled respect for all the religions] and this
unique communal and social harmony is turning the land of Goa into
heaven of tourist.
High tides of enthusiasm and celebrations are equally visible in the
human societies on every occasion this may the time of Christmas or
the Ganesh Festival. This tolerance and emotion of co-existence is
very clearly visible in the life routines of native people, tourist
find it hard to locate two Goans in street fighting or shouting at
each other. Another quality of Goans which makes them a bit
different from rest of India is alike the most of Indians they are
work dedicated and truly professional human society the only
difference is that most of Goans love to enjoy their hard work hence
when sun sets they join the into celebrations with tourist and it
become a truly hard composition to differentiate two.
Goa is just not the costal land known to world for some of most
fascinating and beautiful beaches but state also have same
significant rivers like Chapora, Mandovi, Sal, Talpona, Tiracol,
Zuari etc. which makes tourism here more interesting as cruiser
voyage at Panjim in Mandovi river at night is one of the star
tourist attraction and unforgettable lifetime experience for the
tourists. |
