churches, specially in the regions of strong hold of Portuguese as
the result in the modern times most of Goan temples are situated in
the north area, adjacent to boundary with Maharashtra. A few cities
like Ponda or Phonda as one may pronounce are famous as the temple
city of Goa.

Ramnath, incarnation of Lord Shiva. Original
idol of deity was moved here from Lotulim
village in Salcette taluka in the year 1566.
The temple was renovated in 1951.
